The Spirit of the Gokstad Reborn
Driven by the legacy of the 9th-century Gokstad ship, the largest preserved Viking ship in Norway, we are meticulously crafting a 15-meter oak replica. Join us as we master ancient Norse engineering and prepare for an ambitious transatlantic expedition from Denmark to the U.S. Gulf Coast in 2027.

Discover the Rich Heritage of Vinlandferth
Vinlandferth is building an authentic Gokstad ship replica at the Viking Ship Museum boatyard in Denmark, using the same oak, iron rivets, and clinker construction that Norse shipwrights employed over 1,100 years ago.
Our project not only aims to build an authentic vessel but also to engage the community in Viking-age naval engineering and cultural education.
